A warm summer week in July 2014, the villagers celebrate with a visit from the Bedfordshire Morris Men on Wednesday 16th July followed by a gathering on the green on the Saturday 19th. The annual ‘ceremonial’ Hog was roasted and shared out amongst the villagers on a warm Saturday afternoon. The earlier rain cleared and the rest of the afternoon into evening avoided some of the nearby thunder and lightening storms. The gathering of locals and friends on the green continues a long tradition in the village for social functions often provided by local benefactors. It was a wonderful and enjoyable chance for the community to mingle, let their hair down and socialise with each other.
A big thanks to the organisers!
